#Project Acceptance is a collaboration between a group of Republic Polytechnic (RP) mass communication students and the Singapore Kindness Movement (SKM). Spearheaded by mass communication students of RP with the support of the Seed Kindness Fund, the objective of the campaign is to encourage a better understanding of social and cultural acceptance between Singaporeans and the guest workers of the white-collared community.
The idea for the overall campaign is to reach out to white collared workers by getting them to fill up the Project Acceptance card. Through #Project Acceptance, we hope to raise awareness about what acceptance entails, how acceptance is evoked and to hopefully through the process break down the barriers and walls that prevents us establishing the bonds we should.
The event was held at Zoysia Green, Raffles area as we approached the white collared workers to share about what acceptance means to them. This campaign aims to raise awareness of the importance of integration with foreign & local white collared workers through such efforts.
The marketing tactics that were used for the campaign was interactive marketing and direct marketing. Our team used interactive marketing (social media) as we felt that it would be able to reach to our target audience more effectively and to achieve our campaign objectives. Also, it helps to hype up our online audience through social media. In addition, by organizing assembly outreach shows, it helps us to effectively reach our target audience. Through such tactics, we hope to achieve our campaign objectives.
